We installed copper over a dome on a sloped roof and there's rain leakage where the asphalt shingles overlap the copper. of course, the copper contractor was different from the roofing/shingle contractor...i think the problem lies in the process of overlapping the felt, shingles, copper, peel & stick. also, the shingles were laid overlapping the copper on the roof, but about 4 inches short of the dome, rather than right up to the edge. any suggestions as to the correct way to lay this or the way to correct this?
