Our new home was finished in 2000 and has a standing seam metal roof. In one room the roof has leaked since the first rain. No one knows how to fix the problem, they think it might be related to the stong winds we get, and perhaps metal is not right for that environment.
I would appreciate any thoughts or direction to take to fix this. I hate to replace a new roof, but that seems the only way to go. Thanks in advance.

Rich,
I will be glad to try to help but I have nothing to go on here.
Can you email me pictures of the roof? What is the system beneath the roof? What is the pitch of the roof? What is the panel that is on the roof?
Have you contacted the manufacturer of the roof?
My email is [email protected]

If anyone knows a knowledgable metal roofing contractor in the Sacramento/Jackson Calif. area I would greatly appreciate a recommendation. With the rains we've been having things are getting pretty wet.
Help appreciated!!

Have you tried the Find A Contractor section of this website?
There is also an experienced metal guy in NewCastle, Mike Cercel -- Rinkydink Builders. He may be able to help you.
