Jason, It depends on the type and style of metal. Choose what you like and check with the manufacturer. Most manufacturers will have their specifications online. [email protected]

Wade is correct. Most of the shake, tile, shingle, and slate facsimile products require a 3:12 pitch. Many corrugated products require 3:12 or some can be used at 2:12. Most "snap lock" standing seams can be used down to 2:12. Lower (less than 2:12) pitch roofs require what is called a mechanically seamed standing seam. Todd Miller

1/4:12 is the lowest I have seen with a 3" tall mechanically seamed panel. Todd has tackled this one already.
