I have been trying to get a contractor to speak with me, provide a quote, discuss material(s), etc. Are all metal roofers so reluctant to sell their product? The only company that has responded quickly and almost too eagerly is Interlok Industries--aluminum roof.
What gives?

I never like to hear things like this, of course. One problem is that good metal roofing contractors are very busy.
I would suggest using this website in a couple of ways:
1) Utilize the Find A Contractor portion of the site.
2) Contact the manufacturers of products you like and ask them to put you in contact with a contractor local to you.

We to installed a new metal roof last Nov.(2003) completed Jan. 2004 Once the immediate roofing issues were solved the contractor has rarely returned our phone calls with additional questions. He tells us each and everytime how VERY VERY busy his team is. THIS IS A VERY POOR marketing tatic. I have yet to have him return the last call we made to the office number724 3277049 I can not understand why it is such an issue. What will we do with the lifetime warrenty if no one responds?? This is really an issue between you and your contractor. If there are outstanding issues, then you could try to contact the manufacturer of the roofing product to solicit their help and besides they do not want bad PR. Additionally, you could contact the local building inspector and get his opinion and possibly if right he could encourage a resolve.
