I want to cover a mini-barn that I'm building with metal roofing, but I'm unsure how to deal with where the pitch changes... Can I use one long piece and bend it where the pitch changes, or do I use two pieces? If I used two pieces, how do I create a leak-proof seam? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Unless the pitch change is extremely minimal and the metal roof panel you're installing has very little configuration, you will need to stop and re-start the panels at the pitch change, utilizing a pitch change flashing. The flashing should be bent to the right angle. It should extend up under the higher roof by about 6 inches and then come out, over, and on top of the lower roof for about 4 inches. Todd Miller
