We are buying a home with an aluminum roof built in 1977 in South Texas. What problems if any should we be aware of with a metal roof of that age?

At this point, there is probably virtually anything to be concerned about. As a metal roofing manufacturer, I always suggest finding an experienced contractor. In your case, had the roof been mis-installed, problems would in all likelihood have been apparent quite some time ago. Todd Miller

My question is, can you put a metal roof on a mobile home with a low pitch roof? Thank You.

There are metal roofs suitable for low pitches. Please contact any metal roofing manufacturer or check with local contractors who specialize in metal roofing or mobile home remodeling. Todd Miller
