We are installing a wood stove in our cabin. The roof construction is steel/osb/rigid foam/ wood paneling (in that order). I was wondering if someone can tell me the correct way to install the flashing around a metal chimney on a steel roof. Thanks for any help you can provide, Jeff

It depends greatly upon the type of metal roof you're installing. For some of the corrugated profiles, there are "flexible" flashings which can be put in place. My first advice is to contact the manufacturer of the roofing for this detail. You want to make sure that your flashing method is in keeping with their specifications. If you cannot get anywhere by doing that, please just email me direct and I will try to help you through this. [email protected]
