I have a flat metal roof which I would like to paint. What kind of paint would you recommend? Is there a paint that will prevent any leaks in the future? What about the Metal 1-Kote metal roof coating?

There are numerous elastomeric coatings available for this purpose. I suspect that the coating you're mentioning by name is one of them. Proper substrate preparation is critical to the good adhesion of those products.

One needs to be carefull on certain roof recoatings in that you could actually create leaks on certain profiles by painting the joints and causing dams. my recommendation is to go to one ofe the metal magazine web sites like Modern Trade, MetalMag.com Krause publishing where you can look up auppliers that advertise re coat products and discuss your axeact conditions with suppliers and get recommendations. FYI, the Metalcon show of our industry is in Las Vegas Oct 20-22 where you can see a number of theses suppliers.
