roof on our porch is metal......it sweats and "rains" on the porch. The porch does not have a ceiling, just the truss boards and metal roofing is screwed in. what would you recommend at this point to insulate?
How close do you recommend the insulating material to be to the metal roof? Thank you for responding.

Todd, thank you for responding. Does a vapor barrier mean a ceiling? If so, do we still need to use insulation between the metal roof and ceiling? Thank you.

A vapor barrier would be something that is impermeable to air and moisture. Typically, it is polyethylene sheeting.
As long as the vapor barrier can be 100% "complete," with no holes in it, the insulation probably won't serve much of a purpose.
