Any advice would be appreciated re: putting a metal roof on our log home being built very close to creek in this high humidity area.
Are there general guidelines for selecting color? The logs are being stained with Gemini TWP Honeytone and we are partial to a blue roof. The roof reaches 41' so you really look toward the sky to see the roof. Any problem mixing a warm & cool color?

For a coastal environment, I do suggest looking for a roof that meets the MCA Certified Roofing requirements and I also suggest verifying warranty validity with the manufacturer. For coastal applications, you want a high quality substrate (metal) and a high quality finish.
As far as color -- no real "rules" there. I have seen lots of combinations "work" which, in my head, were tough to visualize.
A quality metal roofing manufacturer will help you out with samples, color chips, etc. which you can compare to your log color.
