I would really suggest going back to the standing seam manufacturer for their instructions but, yes, you will want a transition flashing. You have to be careful to make sure the flashing doesn't develop a negative pitch. Also, I highly recommend thinking about making it "easy" to someday replace the flat roof without having to disturb the standing seam.
It would be a lot of help to me to have installation instructions for my transition from 4/12 top attached standing seam metal roof to a flat roof that will have 3" ISO w a peel and stick barrier and peel and stick SBS Modified Bitumen.
Will I need to install Transition metal under the pitched roof metal and over the completed flat roof bitumen?
I am trying to understand the procedure before going forward with my roof project.
Thank everyone,
David
