As long as the metals do not touch, you should be okay as far as corrosion. Keeping them as separate as possible is helpful. That said, the copper ions that are in runoff water from copper can actually leave clean streaks on the roof over time due to their natural anti-micorobial properties. Also, over time, they may leave greenish streaks. I would recommend talking to your roofing manufacturer about this and also asking in general if they are comfortable that the coating on their aluminum will not be harmed over time by any runoff water from the copper.

I am planning to install an aluminum metal roof and my question is that the top of my chimney on the side of the house is copper. Will the copper on top of the chimney affect the aluminum metal if it is in close proximity to the roof?
