The panel that sort of "swoops" upward to accommodate the valley could have been notched I believe to lay flat and could even have potentially been one continuous panel. I would suggest having the contractor contact their roofing manufacturer for guidance on this area.
We are having a roof installed.. there is a dead valley in a very close to front door entrance. It just seems very sloppy.
