I have an old, 2-stall barn with a solid, wood frame that is covered by rusting, corrugated metal siding and roof. I'll strip the siding and replace it with wood, but I was wondering if it was possible for a new metal roof to be placed on top of the old one? Thank you.

Should be no problem. You will need to strap the roof over the old to separate them. If the old profile is low you may be able to just strap it horizontal otherwise run a 1x4 vertical in the flat of the old and then strap it horizontal.

We are an association of supplier companies and manufacturers of residential metal roofing.
Corten is generally a product of the US Steel Company, so I would try there. I believe their site is www.USS.com
