Hi Jessica, I believe that you folks have also emailed me. I will reply via email shortly.
Yuck.
Now metal roofs often don't look that great close up, but that shows at a distance.
What brand / line of roofing material was used?
Lots of things wrong.
Here are some possitive examples of proper, god-honoring roof seaming...
There's only a select handful of people in the united states who understand how to do traditional standing seam properly... I would suggest checking the trad list for a qualified spengler.
We just had a standing seam metal roof installed and aren't really happy with the finished results. All the standing seams look battered, wavy, scratched, with some of the paint scratched off with the pliers being used. The entire roof looks as if it had been crimped using one's teeth! lol. We chose a metal roof for the clean lines and aesthetic, and would like an opinion on the finished product.
The roofers did not use a machine to crimp the seams, it was done by hand with some small pliers, which i thought was odd for a very complex roof on a 5100sf home. I'll be returning today to take better pictures
