Sorry to post this topic again but I cant reply to your answer. Where do I click to reply?
Anyway. My NRCA manual states that minimum pitch for handmade shingles is 8-12 for water shed. How does revere & others get away with 3-12. Is it the underlayment?
My roof is 4-12, but I cant afford reveres shingles so I wanted to bend my own since Im a tinner by trade with a 10' brake & slitter in the garage.
Do you have a smacna manual you could refere to & check if they also recommend 8-12 & over only?
Thanks again
Mike

I am sorry but I do not have access to what you're seeking and I am definitely not aware of the 8:12 requirement you mention.
I strongly suggest contacting the Copper Development Association. I think they can help you with these specific questions.
