Hi,
We have a double wide mobilehome and we wondering if a metal roof would work for us?
The home was original with a shingle roof. The roof has leaked from day one due to a shallo
slope/pitch.
It has a gable roof (I believe thats what its called) right in the middle and water always seems
to back into the seams where the gable joins the other roof.
I've read where it matters which type of metal roof you choose. Any Suggestions?

Hi,
I used two apps to try and determine pitch.
Both showing 2.4 /12 on the span and the gable on the front of the house.

Not sure I should ask this here seeing how your company manufactures metal roofs. But could you tell me the best system I should use to solve my problem? Shingles? Metal? Other?
Just tired of the roof leaking.
Thanks

A critical question here concerns the pitch of your roof. Pitch is measured in terms of inches of vertical rise over 12" of horizontal run. For example, 3:12 means the roof rises vertically 3" for every 12" it goes back horizontally. The pitch of your roof will help determine what type of metal roof may work for you. Do you know or can you check your roof's pitch? There are smart phone apps to help with roof pitch gauge as well.

At that pitch and for your home, I would recommend a mechanically seamed standing seam roof if you pursue a metal roof.

He replied above. At that pitch, a mechanically seamed metal roof is your best best.
