I'm building a small straw bale house as a DIY with my brother, who is a carpenter but hasn't done this particular installation before. It will have a shed-style metal roof. I'm just trying to find out what sort of flashing or sealing is involved for the top edge of the roof. One supplier says that the foam closure stuff is all I need, but I find that very hard to believe. How does one seal the upper edge of a shed roof? Pictures would be ever so helpful!
I know the sides get rake trim and the lower edge gets a drip edge.
If it helps, the roof will be a cathedral ceiling made out of TJIs. It's unvented; there will be 3 inches of blown in closed cell foam with several inches of some other insulation underneath that. A lot of people around here do it that way. We're in a pretty arid location.

Foam closures and and counter flash (i.e. ridge cap of sorts) detail over the top.
