I paid 1/3 down for materials of 29 Ga Galvalume steel with a synthetics underlayment. Before I pair the remainder I need to know if my issues are instillation, materials, or roof related. Before instillation was completed I noticed rippling where the metal fasteners were screwed through the metal roof into my house. I commented about to the installer and his response was it was normal and they would go away as the roof heated and cooled. I doubt this but I’m not a roofing expert. Later he stated this was because my roof wasn’t level. I would have expected this would have been mentioned before instillation began, though it was not. I have several neighbors with metal roofs and I’m the only one with this issue. I need someone with expertise in stalling metal roofs to comment on what in their expert opinion is causing these ripples. See attached photos.

Nothing from contractor yet. How is the homeowner supposed to know there's an issue (or not) with unevenness. I would expect a contractor to check this and tell me there might be a problem. Give me options, don't just put the roof on and say, sorry it looks bad and you'll have to deal with it.

The local manufacture sent out these contractors for the quote and instillation. I've called them four times for someone to come out to look at the instillation, I've heard nothing back from them other then they would have someone from their main office contact me. It's been a week and I've heard nothing.

Question: If your current roofing system is shingles or any other type of roofing system, would an overlay of metal void the manufacturer warranty on the Metal roof?

I would say that the problem is largely related to unevenness in the roof deck.
That said, I agree ... that doe snot look good. Has the contractor offered any possible remedies?

Eric's points are great, as always!
Is there a manufacturer of the roofing you can appeal to and get involved to see what they say?

You would need to confirm this with the individual manufacturer but it probably will not void the warranty.

The look like they are installed a little tight in those locations.
Metal does tend to relax a bit after install, but the fact that it is so visible in that specific section makes the fastening there a bit suspect.
