I was wondering with the cold elimantes in Cananda. Do i have too put any insulation under my metal roof or just synthetic underlayment and insulate the attic? And is soffit and ridge vent adequate.

Depends on the construction and design of the attic.
If the attic if ventilated and insulation is across the attic floor, insulation under the roof (i.e. on the roof deck) is not required.
It can be of help when in very warm climates by rejecting more heat out of the attic but that is likely not the issue where you are located.
