Metal Roof - Ridges

Return to Installation

Return to Forum

Hi, Just had a ATAS .032 aluminum metal roof (flat sheet style, whatever this is) installed over my new front porch. I have noticed that there are not any ridges on either side of the roof. Quickly have learned that this allows rain to drip over the side of the roof onto the wooded porch floor. Appears to me that in the long run, my porch will be compromised due to increased exposure to water. Seems to me that a ridge should have been installed on each side, directing the rain down to the gutters. Any thoughts on this? Thanks Frank.
