I have a building with two layers of asphalt shingles. The deck is in good shape but I have curling shingles. I have been told that I can knock the curl down and put 30# felt over the existing shingles. Then instal a new metal roof over the top. Would this be your recommendation if I don't want to strip the existing roof.

Personally...if if were my roof, no.
I would strip the roof and take it down to the deck if we are talking about 2 layers.
