Here's my situation. I have a building under construction located on the outer banks of North Carolina (Currituck). The main roof is tile (sorry), but I have some curved dormers that have a radius of 4 feet. My contractor is saying that the manufacturers that he has contacted cannot do a four foot radius for standing seam. One that he has found that can do it, cannot meet the wind load requirements that we have listed in the specsx(North Carolina Building Code, 2002 Edition (IBC), ASCE 7-98 for wind loads
of 125 MPH, Exposure "C" for cladding componets, Essential Faclilities,xBuilding Category III, Importance Factor 1.15)
I have read the posted comments that I could find regarding curved roofxpanels and wind uplift. How can I find what the upper limits are for windxloads for standing seam metal roofs? I understand that you typically recommend contacting specific manufacturers regarding their specific
products, but it would be helpful if I could narrow the process. In one comment, you mention UL 580 and UL 1897, but do you know how I can determine
how those tests relate to the code requirements that I listed above, and how I can narrow the list of manufacturers to those that meet those requirements?
Thanks for any help you can offer!

I suggest that you consult with a licensed professional engineer who is familiar with the North Carolina code. It seems a bit surprising that the covering over a decorative window will need to meet these requirements.
Good luck.
