I have a metal roof that was painted black by the previous owner. It needs re-painting. Can anyone recommend a quality black paint? Thanks.

A couple of options. The easiest and least expensive is to go to a quality paint store (something along the lines of Sherwin Williams) and ask for their highest quality paint which would be suitable for your application. The other option is to obtain an airdry PVDF II formulation. This is the air-dry version of the top of the line amongst pre-painted finishes being used by metal roofing manufacturers. Most metal roofing manufacturers can help you obtain this paint. It is expensive though -- expect to pay over $200 per gallon for it. However, for fade and chalk resistance, it will be the best you can find.
