Wanting a shake medal roof. Think the look is better than the straight look. My roof is straight pitch with no valleys/does have a fireplace, approx 24 square. What is the difference (other then cost) between the two? Have called some manufactures of medal roofing and the shake product doesn't seem to be available in this area. Seems that the different designs are just a matter of stamping the medal, which is the best choice and what gauge do you think would serve us best? Am in my 60's and this will be the last roof.
