I have a metal roofed "screenroom" built on top of an old boathouse. I am converting it into a 3 season room, with windows (and screens) in place of all screens. The metal roof does not have an underlayment, and will be exposed from the inside (metal roof visible from inside with no insullation or ceiling material). How do I allow for proper venting, but still protect bugs, etc. from getting in through the vents?

Thank you for the response. Forgive me if I seem stupid, but how do I install the screen? Do I simply push it into the channels? Those are the areas where bugs, etc, get in.

Oops ... I am sorry. I understand now what you're talking about. I had thought you had some sort of actual vents such as soffit vents. I now understand that you're pulling air through the channel slots.
I am not sure how to do what you're doing. I keep wondering if there is a way to box in the soffit area and then screen that.
I see that you're trying to bring air in through these channels. Do you also have a ridge vent or something to allow that air to exhaust out?

Todd, you are so nice to be willing to continue to help me with this. Yes, you do understand what I need to do - I just didn't know how to properly express it.
As for the exaust, I believe the same channels that bring air in, also exhaust the air at the peak. The channels at the peak are open to the environment, as are the channels at the eves. I suppose I could box in the soffits and put in vents, but that still leaves the channels at the peak open. Help!
