I'm on the west coast of Canada. I have a home with a shake roof. I'll be removing the shakes and installing 15lb felt paper and 26 gauge diamond rib steel. Part of the home is strapped, part is solid shiplap. I've always heard that strapping is needed. Do I need to install 1x4@24"oc over the shiplap portion? Thanks in advance!
