We are in negotiations for a historic home that's been remodeled and includes the addition of a metal roof (not sure of the actual material in use).
I was able to see that the metal sheets are installed over open rafters with nothing in between. In corners, I can also see light along the seams.
I've gone back through a few of the posts here and know enough to know I don't know enough. That sometimes this is okay - with the right materials.
What are the questions I need to ask the remodeler to get to the information I need to know before buying?

Mainly you need to know if there is good attic ventilation, good insulation on the attic floor and, preferably, a vapor barrier behind the ceilings.
I would also try to track down the source of the light you see. It may be from soffit vents, which would be okay.
