We would like to install a metal roof over a low-pitched addition, where we have had a pesky leak. The current roof is 2 layers of shingles, and about 1/3 is covered with spray foam/elastomeric coating. My husband thinks we should cover the entire addition with foam first, then add metal. I'm thinking we should just strip the whole thing.

So much depends upon exact pitch, how it ties into your main roof, etc. Can you email pictures of the roof to me? [email protected]
