I have a metal roof 4/12 pitch with ridge vent and soffit venting. The attic area as r40 insulation with 6m vapour barrier. In the spring there are brown water streaks on the siding below the soffit venting.the water is comming out of the weep holes in the siding from the top of the wall to the bottom. Does anyone have information on what may be causing this problem and what the solution is. The house is 7 years old I have noticed this problem over the last 3 Years.

Is there any unusual source of moisture inside the home or the attic? In particular, are all exhaust fans and plumbing stacks vented to the outside? Todd Miller

Exhaust fans and plumbing stacks vent to the outside. If I did not have enough cross ventalation from the soffit venting would this cause the problem. Attached is a section of the roof.
