I bought a repossessed home with a metal roof. Ridge vent is there, but no closure strips (no screens, baffles or foam - just daylight). Lots of debris (pine straw) blowing into the attic - a real mess.
No other issues - it's venting fine and not sucking debris in -- it's seems to just be blowing in during temperate weather.
Recommendations to resolve? Metal panel profile looks like an "R" style. Can strips be added from inside the attic (access is easy - low pitch), or will the vent cap need to be removed from outside?
I've only got about 18 lineal feet of vent.

There is a breathable closure made for R panel. The brand name we get here in north Texas is ProVent II. There should be a distributor near you that will have what you need. You will need to remove the ridge cap and then reinstall it. The vent material is compressed when you screw down the cap. You might be able to squeeze it down enough to stuff it in from the inside.

I really appreciate the response.
I went and measured - looks like the panel is a "Versi-rib" or "Multi-use" profile -- 9" on center versus 12" for the R panel(?). Struggling to find ridge vent vented closure material for that profile -- any ideas/brands?
Thanks to both of you for the help.
