Is this installation method improper?
A metal roof was installed on a single story home with trusses. 2x4 strips were placed across the truss system and the metal was then screwed into the strips.
Other than being really loud when it rains, is this a problem?
I have attached a picture to show how the roof looks in the attic (the picture is showing the underside of the soffit, but it is the same all over the roof).
Thank you!

You have to check with your local building inspector to see if they allow an open purlin system over living space. It was approved in a unique case I was involved with so yes it may possibly pass code. The Ag panel that has been installed is usually structural 2'o.c.. This system can be a great and problem free for many years. It also looks like the fasteners were installed on the flat wich would also be correct. It does appear this is a tricky flashing section but tough to tell with out a top picture. If it leaks in any way than no that is not proper

More pics would be nice but it looks like the roof comes down on to a piece of ridge cap? If this is the case it appears to have a flashing issue as well as a possible condensation issue
