We live in a shady area, surrounded by evergreens and moss is an issue for us, especially as we have a very steeply pitched roof that makes it virtually impossible to remove the moss. Does moss collect at all on metal roofs and if so do we have to worry about solutions that we spray to get rid of the moss, staining the roof? Thanks

Moss will grow on any surface that collects dirt and the moss can get a grip on. A smooth finished metal and a steeper slope with good flushing should not support moss. If you were really concerned then put on a bare Galvalume roof which acts as a natural anti fungas agent with the zinc in the coating. Moss on most materials can be kept clean with an annual rinsing from a garden hose sprayer if it will reach using a mild solution of bleach, to kill the fungus, TSP that looses the growth and Sunlight detergent to help flush it away.
