I am getting ready toput a new roof put on my trailer. It was built in 1985. My question is do I have to use a wood frame to attach the new roof or are there another options.

That is really hard to answer since I do not know exactly what you have now nor am I an expert in moible home construction.
What is there now? What roof pitch do you have? What profile of metal roofing would you like to install?

Hello Tod,
My house is in Alaska.
Where I am building we recieve over 10feet of precip annually.
It is so HUMID usually above 80%.
Thoughout the year we often get condinsation on the underside of the roof.
The roof is a 7-12 pith and the roof is a 26gauge Norclad an ACS product.
No amount of ventilation uner the roof including fans on the gables will stop the condensation.
My neighbor installed 2X4 purlins over his existing metal roofing allong with 1/2 inch of foam between the ribs. This seems to hae stoped his condensation problems completley.
Is that a good solution and is that acceptable to building codes?
I hope to here from you soon.
