I am considering metal roofing over a fairly large rancher type home. The roof has two different types of pitch in back due to add ons. What style would complement brick the best?

This decision is largely personal preference. I have seen all types of metal roofing used on similar homes and I personally prefer a shingle or shake look. However, again, this is personal preference. On smaller homes, I might avoid a real hevay shake look but, since your home is larger, that isn't the issue.
Your metal roofing contractor might be able to put some small amounts of various products on your roof for you to look at. That might help you visualize.
You also might consider what product will fit best within your neighborhood. Also, make sure that, whatever product you choose, it is appropriate for installation on the lowest roof pitch on which you'll be installing.
