i have a 1996 fleetwood 24X65 moble home, can i put a tin roof on top of the shingles, if i strip with 1X4,s the tin is 29ga

Probably but I would check with the manufacturer of your home and also of your roofing. Also, you may wish to consider vertical battens and then horizontal ones, allowing you to vent the area beneath the new metal roof. Todd Miller

will the 1X4 striping spaced @ 2ft apart be enought venting

Horizontal battens alone do not encourage convective airflow from the bottom to the top of the roof, because they block the airflow. Todd Miller
