Hello, I was wondering if you know how to make a metal roof look aged. I am putting a metal roof in my basement as a ceiling and I really wanted it to look aged but, I cant seem to find out how to age it. Can you help? THANKS!

Put it on a roof and wait a 100 years is my first thought. If you are wanting to take some agricultural sheets of steel that are galvanized, then you can etch them with acid to take the sheen off the metalic coating. If you want a oxidsed surface keep etching it and let the water at it.

I to would like to age corriged galvanized metal. I will be using as siding and would like to get it to a soft gray of aged galvinized material. What kind and strenth of acid do you recomend and what kind of process do I use?
Thank you,

I do not have any good ideas on this. Keep in mind that the "aging" of steel is an ongoing process which, onbce started, is hard to stop.
I personally would really encourage you to consider a painted surface which might still provide the look you are seeking.
