Nails are protruding from our 20yr old metal roof( might be alumn.). snow load is heavy in this area. if I replace all nails with screws, how do I figure out what size and type to use? roof is aplied over old cedar shingles nailed into 1x3 doug fir flooring boards as skip sheeting. pitch is 10in12 nails are into the top of the ridges. conserned with the lowest profile head and distorting the metal ridges when screwing them tight?
