Asphalt roof transitions to metal roof

Hi, I am in the design stage for a home in the TC area that calls for a transition of asphalt to metal on a wrap around porch...all along the same pitch. Looks great in the renderings, but the builder has some concerns if this is even possible and how to go about it. What do you think? See attached image. Thanks, Jim
