I am researching the different brands of closure vents for ventalation and protection from the elements to be installed beneath the ridgecap on metal home roofing. I have found that there are several brands and designs...all slightly different. Of particular interest are the following brands: Profile Vent Weather Tite Cor-a-Vent Trimline Prevent Ridgeline Closure Vent Are there any reccomendations for any of these particular brands or any that I have failed to mention? Why do you feel that one is superior over the other, or do you? I would appreciate any input or insight to the Pros and Cons of each type or design. Thank you very much for you time and help! Daniel

It is not our associations mandate to recommend brands but to promote metal roofing. Having said that there are many types of systems and styles and the best advice is choose a sytem manufacturered by a member of our association as the material is to the high standards required for roofing and then ask the manufacturer of the product you have chosen. Our firm as an example has ventilation products designed and tested with our individual systems and we carry product approvals for ICBO, SBCCI, Dade County, City of LA and Texas Coastal in The USA. Hope this helps.
