I have an older home built in 1927. The front and back porch roofs are tin with box gutters. I want to shingle the roofs. Can I shingle over the tin or does it have to be removed?
Also for the box gutters can I remove the board that makes up the fascia of the gutter to put standard gutters on?

In most cases putting new shingles over any existing roof voids the warranty on the new shingles. I would not do it.
That said, your metal roof has lasted a long time. Why not investigate another metal roof?
As for the fascia board ... I would have to see pictures to try to answer that question.
All Best.
