Jason, you will want lots of insulation and ventilation. I would also use a metal roof that installs over decking. You could consider spraying closed cell urethane insulation.

I have an older metal roof and i am remodeling everything inside the house and soon outside. I live in ohio where it can get into the single digits real easy. I want a new roof but i don't want to spend that much. What all would i have to do to prevent a leak or condensation problem. what kind of insulation should i use.
