I have a metal roof on a low sloped roof that needs to have venting put in to it. The vents were not put in before the metal was put on the roof. What is the best way to go about venting the roof so I don't end up with leaks? Thanks!

Can you send me some pictures so I have a good idea of what you're dealing with in terms of pitch, roof geometry, and the metal roofing profile? Also, what can you tell me about the roof assembly? Is the roof on decking or battens? Todd Miller

I do not have any pictures to send. The pitch is 3 & 12. The metal is on plywood decking with 2 x 8 rafters on 16"centers. Thank you!

I would ideally like to see eave soffit vents for intake and a ridge vent for exhaust. It should be possible to re-do the ridge to add a ridge vent. Consult with the manufacturer of the roofing. Todd Miller
