I live in the Midwest and will be having a metal roof installed on a residental home. The home has more than 31,000 square feet of roof. I recieved one estimate for $9,700 for a metal roof.
I know you don't normally discuss specific coss on your web site but it seems like this was a very low price. Is it? Should I be concered about the quality and the workmanship?
Thank you

Yes, that seems low. I would do the normal things when checking into a contractor -- ask for references, go see and talk to past customers, call the BBB, check to make sure they carry proper licensing, insurance, etc.
However, I would also take a hard look at the product they are planning to install. What kind of metal is it? What sort of coating? What warranty does it carry? Who is the manufacturer? What sort of panel profile is it? How is it fastened? Does it meet Metal Construction Association criteria for standard or premium performance?
