I have searched everywhere for the answer to this -how to join the two W Valley pieces at the top of a dormer at the ridge. (I'm presently installing 5V).
The supplier can't tell me and the manufacturer only sent me a generic sketch which really shows nothing. The exact same sketch that is provided by Gibraltar, Semco and several others. It just shows an overlap, one over the other.
I just can't see how to make a waterproof joint by splicing. I guess I could just miter the joint and cover it with 'peel and seal' but I'd rather try to do it properly. The joint will be covered by the ridge anyway.
Any suggestions would be appreciated -I've exhausted all my other sources.
TIA.

This is a very tricky miter joint. I like to extend the dormer ridge flash over to the valley diverter and tab it down. By doing this, I only have to get the upslope part of the valleys mitered together. You do have to make special outside closures to seal from the last panel rib to the valley diverter, on each side. The attached picture shows this detail, though there is a little too much exposed sealant. Also, the picture is of a different panel profile, but it would be the same for 5V crimp.
