We are getting a Metro steel shake roof and we have a steep roof. It is probably a 12 12 pitch tudor style. We had the installer remove old shake and they brought #40 felt to install. But now they have brought titanuum udl and it says on packageing that it is lighter and 20 times stronger than #30 felt and can be on for up to 6mo without roof it is so good. It is in 10 sq rolls. But we were wondering about moisture. They say it is a moisture barrier and it is going over batting( the strips of wood that they nail to?) We have 40 sqs. Which is better and which is more expensive? Thanks

The Titanium is more costly and has gained a good reputation the last couple of years. Todd Miller
