Hi Roofing Experts, I would like to add a bathroom exhaust fan to my upstairs bathroom and have this vented through the roof (it's about 3 or 4 feet from the top of the ceiling to the roof in the attic). I have a "Decra Shake" metal roof (installed by previous owners). Is it OK to have a roofing company add this vent now? Is there any risk to adding a new vent after the metal roof is installed? And if it's ok, what should I be asking/checking with them about regarding making sure it doesn't leak at this new opening? Is there anything special that needs to be done to seal after-install vents ? Thanks very much for any advice!! Dianne

I would suggest contacting John Miller at the Decra plant in Corona, CA. He will be able to help you with this. Todd Miller
