I have a steel roof on the rear of my home. I don't have a lot of pitch. I have a lot of ice build up on my eaves. My question is this? How do I put up a heat tap of some kind? I can find no info on this what so ever.
Thanks

Becasue I have 4 skylights about 5' up from the eaves and the ice keeps the snow from melting off and casues my sky lights to leak a bit..

Is the ice build-up causing a problem? Why do you feel the need to get rid of it?

Okay ... thanks.
First of all, you want to have your attic well insulated and well ventilated so that heat from inside the home is not a contributing factor to your problems.
Next, I would look for S5! clips and attach the heat tape to them. You should find them through a Google search.
If you have gutters and downspouts on this roof, you will want heat tape in them as well
