I had to remove our gutters early in the winter, due to heavy ice build up. The ice accumulation was so much that our gutters started to sag. Is there any system out there that would help this problem? or should I plan on removing gutters every year?
Remember, I live in a very cold climate and ice melt, from the sun, freezes very fast when it hits our gutters, thus clogging them and the down spout.

The answer here is the same as the one for your valleys, heat loss and improper ventilation. Short term is to put heat cables in the gutter and then correct the ventilation.
