Is there any documentation in the NRCA manual or anywhere for that matter which addresses the problem of telegraphing purlins. I have done a project over a pre-existing office area with new panels and the purlins are telegraphing and the owner will not accept the work. We were not specified to do any structural or framing work..

This sort of information should come from the manufacturer of the roofing. I am curious whether the product was even intended to be installed over battens instead of solid deck. Other than that, I would be curious about the spacing of the purlins, possible structural movement which may be going on, or possible heavy foot traffic on the roof that might have caused damage.
